At least twenty militants affiliated with the Taliban and ISIS were killed during separate operations conducted in southern Kandahar and eastern Nangarhar provinces.
Afghan Special Forces conducted a raid in Band-e Timor area of Kandahar killing 15 Taliban fighters and destroying a small weapons cache and bomb making materials.
An air strike in Khogyani district of Nangarhar province killed 5 ISIS fighters.
The Afghan Special Forces also conducted a raid in Sherzad district and destroyed five caches of hashish.
Afghan forces have intensified their security operations, in cooperation with coalition forces, in the country's troubled regions. (QNA)
