His Highness the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad al-Thani attended Saturday the second session of Munich Security Conference's second day, during which German Chancellor Dr Angela Merkel spoke.
The session was attended by a number of their excellencies heads of delegations participating in the conference.
On the sidelines of the 55th Munich Security Conference, His Highness the Amir met with US officials and the Armenian president.
The Amir met with the Speaker of the US House of Representatives, Nancy Pelosi.
The meeting reviewed bilateral relations, and the joint efforts to counter terrorism and its financing.
Pelosi thanked His Highness the Amir for the role the Al Udeid airbase plays in that regard.
The two sides also exchanged views on the latest regional and international developments.
His Highness the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad al-Thani also met yesterday with US Acting Secretary of Defence Patrick Shanahan and his accompanying delegation.

The meeting focused on discussing the strategic bilateral relations between Qatar and the United States, particularly in the military and defence field, as well as discussing the latest regional and international developments.
Separately, His Highness Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad al-Thani met with US Chair of House Foreign Affairs Committee Eliot Engel and US Representative from Texas' 34th district Filemon Vela.
The meeting reviewed the strategic bilateral relations and co-operation between the two sides and the ways to enhance them, in addition to discussing the latest regional and international developments.
The meetings were attended by a number of their excellencies members of the official delegation accompanying the Amir.
His Highness the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad al-Thani also met with Armenian President Armen Sarkissian on the sidelines of the Munich Security Conference. The meeting dealt with bilateral relations and the means to enhance them, in addition to discussing a number of issues of joint interest.
