To promote the importance of a healthy lifestyle, Ooredoo is encouraging citizens and residents to come down to MIA Park today from 8am to 5pm and join in the activities on offer for Qatar National Sport Day.
There is plenty on offer for all ages and all fitness levels, from toddlers to grandparents and from complete beginners to seasoned fitness fanatics, according to a statement issued yesterday.
The park will be divided into zones, starting with the Kids Area which will include a host of age-appropriate adventures such as games, races and inflatables.
Zone 2 will feature sports and games such as billiards, table tennis and table football, as well as a professional bike tutorial, Zumba and aerobics.
Zone 3 is dedicated to fun and games, with activities including tug of war, Ping Pong Waiter and a three-legged race, while Zone 4 is all about martial arts and combat with kung fu, karate, taekwondo and boxing and some Human Chess.
Zone 5 features ball sports such as handball, volleyball and basketball, as well as food stalls offering healthy meals and drinks. Zone 6 is for ablutions and a separate mosque for men and women.
