The National Service Academy concluded on Monday, the tactical exercise "Miqdam-2", with the participation of 800 cadets of the Academy's 11th Batch.
HE the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of State for Defence Affairs Dr Khalid bin Mohamed al-Attiyah and HE the Chief of Staff of Qatar Armed Forces Lieutenant General (Pilot) Ghanem bin Shaheen al-Ghanem attended the conclusion of the exercise along with a lineup of Armed Forces senior officers.
Miqdam-2 started on January 27 in the southern region. During the exercise, the cadets carried out a number of individual and collective exercises aimed at providing them with different skills to maximise military readiness.
The exercise also included a number of strategic, physical skills and field exercises, such as night patrols and reconnaissance, ambush, night guarding, in addition to shooting with different calibers of Beretta rifles and using of smoke, light and sound bombs.
