Voter registration for the sixth session of the Central Municipal Council (CMC) elections in 2019 will be held on January 13, 2019, supervisory committee chairman Major General Majid Ibrahim al-Khulaifi announced Monday.

Voter registration is the start of the first phase of the elections, the official Qatar News Agency (QNA) reported Monday, quoting Major General al-Khulaifi.
The website for the sixth session of CMC elections in 2019 was inaugurated by Major General al-Khulaifi in the presence of committee members and chairpersons of the executive committees.
The website has been created within the Ministry of Interior website. Major General al-Khulaifi pointed out that voters can find the electoral roll and ensure they are registered in the electoral constituencies and identify the constituency in which he/she should be registered.
Head of technical committee for the sixth session of CMC elections in 2019, Brigadier Abdul Rahman Ali al-Maliki, explained that the website has all the data and information needed by the voter or candidate, in addition to two basic services: the first one allows browsing the electoral roll to ensure that the voters are registered in their constituency, and the second is for the electoral constituencies.
This service enables all those who wish to register identify the constituency in which they are supposed to register, in addition to providing them with the site map that leads them to the constituency headquarters.
The electronic equipment to conduct the electoral process starting from voter registration to the screening stage and the result announcement are ready at all polling stations.
The chairman of the supervisory committee said preparations for the launch of the electoral process for the CMC elections are underway in full swing, noting that all the polling stations in the state are ready to receive citizens on January 13, 2019 for voter registration.
