Land patrols from of the the Ministry of Municipality and Environment's Environmental Protection Reserves & Wildlife Department in Umm Salal have detected a truck dumping solid waste in an undesignated area.
Legal procedures were taken against the offender, the MME said in a tweet.
"Environmental violation will not be tolerated. Our environment is our future, save it," the ministry stressed.
The MME also said that Al Rayyan Municipality is continuing with its rodent and pest control campaign. Teams tasked with the job sprayed designated areas such as North Muaither, Al Manaseer, Aba Al Hayran, Al Sayliyah, Gharafa and West Al Murrah.

Northern areas saw a major cleanup campaign

Also Al Wakrah Municipality's Municipal Services Department, in co-operation with the General Cleanliness Department, has carried out a comprehensive cleanup campaign on Al Kharrara Main Road and adjoining areas.
The MME also said Al Sheehaniya Municipality's Municipal Control Department conducted 890 inspection tours in October. 
These resulted in the removal of 92 abandoned portacabins and vehicles and issuance of 22 violation reports. Nine cases were resolved through reconciliation after the payment of fines. The total amount of fines collected during the period was QR41,280.
Two shops that were found violating the rules were also closed. 
Also, the MME has carried out an extensive cleanup campaign. This included three places in the northern part of the country where garbage dumped randomly was collected and disposed of safely, the MME tweeted.
