Ashghal will put in place a temporary diversion on Salwa Road westbound carriageway between Al Sailiya Interchange (Exit 17) and Mesaieed Interchange (Exit 24) for a distance of approximately 1.3km, starting from November 29 night to December 2.
The diversion, to allow the installation of gantries at Mesaieed Interchange, has been designed in co-ordination with the General Directorate of Traffic.
As shown on the map, traffic heading westbound on Salwa Road towards Bu Samra will be diverted to the eastbound carriageway after Al Sailiya Interchange (Exit 17) and will return to normal flow before Mesaieed Interchange (Exit 24).
During the diversion, the number of lanes will be reduced from four to two in order to accommodate traffic movement in both directions.
During the temporary realignment, Salwa Service road in the location will be limited to a one-way flow with a right in/right out availability to Salwa Road.
The Public Works Authority will install road signs advising motorists of the traffic shift and request all road users to abide by the speed limit which remains at 80 kph along Salwa Road and 60 kph along Salwa Service Road, and follow the road signs to ensure safety.
