Akram Afif congratulates captain Hassan al-Haydos after he scored for Qatar against Iceland in the third minute of their international friendly in Eupen, Belgium on Monday night. Iceland equalised through Ari Freyr Skulason in the 29th minute, while Kolbeinn Sigthorsson put them ahead in the 56th. Qatar, however, struck through Boualem Khoukhi in the 68th minute to clinch a 2-2 draw against the World Cuppers. Picture on the right shows Afif evading a tackle. Last week Qatar had beaten Switzerland 2-1 in Lugano. The friendlies were part of Qatar’s preparations for the Asian Cup in January.
