The Ministry of Commerce and Industry, in collaboration with Abdullah Abdulghani & Bros Co, dealer of Toyota vehicles in Qatar, has announced a recall of Toyota 86 model of 2013 over a potential defect in the engine valve spring.
In a statement yesterday, the ministry said the recall campaign came within the framework of its ongoing efforts to protect consumers and ensure that car dealers followed up on vehicle defects and repairs.
The ministry has said it will co-ordinate with the dealer to follow up on maintenance and repair works and communicate with customers to ensure that the necessary repairs are carried out.
It has urged all customers to report violations to its Consumer Protection and Anti-Commercial Fraud Department, which processes complaints, inquiries and suggestions, through the call centre: 16001, e-mail: [email protected], Twitter: @MEC_Qatar, Instagram: MEC_Qatar and the ministry’s mobile app for Android and iOS: MEC_Qatar.
