Amir to meet Rwanda president tomorrow
His Highness the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad al-Thani will meet with Rwandan President and Chairman of the current session of the African Union, Paul Kagame, at the Amiri Diwan tomorrow. The Amir and the Rwanda president, who arrives in Doha today on an official visit to the country, will discuss the bilateral relations and ways to promote them, as well as issues of mutual concern and areas of co-operation between Qatar and the African Union.

PM sends message to Bulgarian counterpart
HE the Prime Minister and Minister of Interior Sheikh Abdullah bin Nasser bin Khalifa al-Thani sent a written message to Bulgarian Prime Minister Boyko Borisov, pertaining to the bilateral relations and means of boosting them. Qatar’s ambassador to Bulgaria Rashid bin Ali al-Khater handed over the message when he met with Adviser to the Political Office of the Bulgarian Prime Minister Kristina Ninanov yesterday.

Israeli raids on southern Gaza Strip condemned
Qatar has expressed its strong condemnation of the Israeli shelling of Khan Yunis in the southern Gaza Strip that left a number of martyrs and injured others. In a statement yesterday, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs considered the shelling as a serious military escalation by the Israeli occupation forces, which would complicate the already difficult situation in the Gaza Strip as a result of the suffocating siege imposed on it for years.
Attack in Iraq’s Anbar province denounced
Qatar has strongly denounced the attack in Anbar province western Iraq, which killed nine people. In a statement yesterday, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs reiterated Qatar’s firm stance on rejecting violence and terrorism, regardless of motives and reasons. It affirmed Qatar’s full solidarity with the Iraqi government and its support for all measures taken to maintain security. The statement expressed Qata’s condolences to the families of the victims and the people of Iraq.
