Director of the Oman Professional League Hisham al-Adwani said that Qatar is making great progress in the field of sports medicine.
In a statement following his visit today to Aspetar, the orthopaedic and sports medicine hospital, al-Adwani said: “I am proud that Qatar, a member country of the GCC, has such advanced technologies. Qatar is making great advances in the field of sports medicine. I have seen a lot of things that we can use at the Oman Football Federation and I hope we can find a way to co-operate with and benefit from this facility to serve our athletes.”
The Director of the Oman Professional League added that his visit was to learn about one of the state-of-the-art medical facilities in the region and the world.
Al-Adwani said: “It is important for us to learn about the unique approach here and the special way the organisation manages and treats injuries. Aspetar has an excellent track record of supporting international teams. The technology on display is very advanced, especially their altitude rooms.”
