His Highness the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad al-Thani visited on Thursday the research and development centre of Barzan Holdings, which is owned by the Ministry of Defence, to check on the completed and future projects of the ministry.
HH the Amir examined a number of models of current and future projects as well as light and medium weapons related to developing the military capacity of Qatar Armed Forces. His Highness was also briefed on the military supplies manufacturing and weapons assembling group, in addition to reviewing joint projects held in partnership between a number of Qatari and international defence companies.
HH the Amir was given a presentation on security and defence consulting, as well as on the cyber security academy. HH the Amir was also given a presentation on research made regarding developing human capital and innovative technology used in the defence and security sector.
