HE the Minister of Municipality and Environment Mohamed bin Abdullah al-Rumaihi has met with Georgian Minister of Environment Protection and Agriculture Levan Davitashvili.

Discussions during the meeting dealt with means of enhancing co-operation between Qatar and Georgia in areas of mutual interest.
Following the meeting, HE al-Rumaihi said that he had discussed with the Georgia minister, all aspects of co-operation between the two sides, especially in the field of agriculture and food security.
The minister also said that during his visit to Georgia, he was briefed on various Georgian food products and expressed his hope to enhance co-operation with the Georgian side in diversified agricultural and food trade.
He pointed out that the Georgian side expressed its desire and readiness to increase and strengthen co-operation and partnership with Qatari investors. 
He noted that Qatar had signed two agreements with Georgia in 2016 on agricultural and veterinary co-operation, and a twinning agreement was signed between Doha and Tbilisi.
