Dear Sir,
Of all the musical instruments, I have always been in love with the violin. I always felt only violin can pierce our hearts and minds when emotions, especially joy and sorrow, are expressed through musical instruments.
Great violinists like Pablo de Sarasate, Fritz Kreisler or Jsacha Heifetz thrilled the world with their magical performances.
Over the years, we were watching the rise of three young stars of music and their success stories right from the beginning – music director Jaya Chandran, keytar and piano player Stephen Devassy and violinist Balabhaskar.
While most of the violinists in India played classical Carnatic music, Balabhaskar chose not only to play classical but he also created fusion music on violin, enthralling young and old hearts.
He has performed on many stages in Qatar and was familiar to the Doha crowd.
We thought of only these two young musicians when we were planning our daughter’s marriage celebrations. Although he wasn’t well, as a good friend, Bala took the trouble to fly down and entertain our guests. He even performed a few Arabic numbers to entertain our Qatari friends. It is impossible to believe that he is no more. Bala will always remain in our hearts through his music. We will miss him a lot!
