Amir, German dignitaries discuss ways to develop bilateral ties

His Highness the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad al-Thani met with a number of Arab ambassadors during his visit to the Arab Cultural House "The Diwan" in Berlin on Thursday.

His Highness the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad al-Thani met with several high ranking German officials separately in the German capital Berlin on Thursday and discussed with them ways to enhance bilateral relations in various sectors including investment, international security, banking, health, education, technology, maritime transport, culture and arts.
All the meetings were attended by members of the official delegation accompanying the Amir.
His Highness the Amir met with the Mayor of Berlin Michael Muller during a visit paid by the Amir to the Berlin Municipality on Thursday evening. 
The meeting reviewed the fields of co-operation between Germany and Qatar and means of enhancing them, especially in investment, health, education, culture and arts. A number of other issues of mutual interest were also discussed.



His Highness the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad al-Thani met with Berlin Mayor Michael Muller during a visit to the Berlin Municipality on Thursday.



His Highness the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad al-Thani met with Chairman of the Supervisory Board of Volkswagen Hans Dieter Potsch in Berlin. 


State Secretary for Civic Engagement and Intercultural Affairs in the Berlin state Sawsan Chebli and a number of officials from the German side and members of the official delegation accompanying the Amir attended the meeting.
His Highness the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad al-Thani met with the President of the Technical University of Munich (TUM), Wolfgang Herrmann, at the Amir's residency in Berlin.
During the meeting, both sides reviewed aspects of bilateral co-operation and ways to strengthen them, especially the exchange of experiences in the field of education and technology.
The meeting was attended by members of the official delegation accompanying the Amir. 
His Highness the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad al-Thani met the Chairman of the Supervisory Board of Deutsche Bank Dr Paul Achleitner, at the Amir's residence in Berlin.
Both sides reviewed co-operation relations and means of enhancing them, especially in the field of financial and banking services.

During the meeting, they reviewed the existing co-operation relations and ways to develop them.
His Highness the Amir met on Thursday morning with Chairman of the Supervisory Board of Hapag-Lloyd Michael Behrendt and the company's Chairman of the Executive Board Rolf Habben Jensen, at the Amir's residence in Berlin.
The meeting focused on reviewing bilateral co-operation and ways to enhance it, particularly in maritime transport.
His Highness the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad al-Thani met with the Munich Security Conference Chairman Wolfgang Ischinger and his accompanying delegation at the Amir's residence in Berlin.
During the meeting, both sides exchanged views on the most prominent developments in the regional and global arenas, particularly those related to international security and peace, as Qatar will host the Munich Security Conference in 2019.
His Highness the Amir met with the Prime Minister of Lower Saxony in the Federal Republic of Germany Stephan Weil and his accompanying delegation at the Amir's residence in Berlin.
The meeting focused on bilateral co-operation and ways to develop them especially in the economic field. The meeting also reviewed a number of topics of mutual interest.
His Highness the Amir also met with a number of Arab ambassadors during his visit to the Arab Cultural House "The Diwan" in Berlin on Thursday evening.
The Diwan was established by Qatar with the aim of enhancing communication and understanding between Arabs and Germans through the dissemination of Arab culture and introducing the Germans in particular and the Europeans in general to the cultural and civilisational role of the Arabs in all ages.
The Amir was accompanied by a number of members of the official delegation.
