The General Directorate of Traffic organised a panel discussion on Thursday on the risks of irresponsible and careless driving, with the aim of enhancing traffic awareness among youth and students.
The workshop, held at the Traffic Auditorium, included a number of topics such as ways to achieve safe driving on roads, legal procedures for violators, monitoring of violators, means of spreading awareness on the risks of reckless and irresponsible driving, and the co-ordination mechanism with driving schools, the Ministry of Interior (MoI) said in a post on social media.
A number of specialists from various departments and sections of the directorate participated in the discussions on safe driving and highlighted the dangers of erroneous traffic behaviour and irresponsible driving habits, the MoI added.
During the seminar, traffic officials answered all questions and enquiries of students and other attendees related to traffic laws, violations and types of licences granted, as well as the risks of reckless and irresponsible driving.
