The Qatar Armed Forces have concluded tactical exercise “Al Qarar Al Hasem 14” in co-operation with the Mongolian Armed Forces.
The exercise was carried out by the 14th class of officer candidates of Ahmed bin Mohamed Military College.
The concluding session of the exercise, which took place in Ulaanbaatar, was attended by Commander of Ahmed bin Mohamed Military College Major General Fahd bin Mubarak al-Khayarin and Deputy Chief of Staff of the Mongolian Armed Forces Badambazar.
The Directorate of Moral Guidance at the Ministry of Defence said in a statement yesterday that Al Qarar Al Hasem 14 lasted three weeks.
The statement said that the exercise trained the officer candidates on three skills; fighting in areas with buildings, defensive operations, countering an attack using live arms.
The statement said that a total of 135 candidate officers from Ahmed bin Mohamed Military College participated in the exercise which involved familiarising trainees with aerial transport, choosing the appropriate defensive locations and positions, as well as tactical withdrawal.
