Ooredoo and YuppTV have announced the launch of the YuppTV service in Qatar, which offers a host of Asian language programmes with no data charges.
Ooredoo is the exclusive distributor of the streaming service in Qatar, and the company’s Hala and Shahry subscribers can now benefit from the latest content by paying only the subscription fees: daily QR3, weekly QR15 or monthly QR45, the company has said in a statement.
YuppTV offers live TV, entertainment, music, news and movies in a host of Indian languages such as Hindi, Malayalam, Tamil, Telugu and more. The service is available via smartphone and once subscribed, content is free to stream and download.
With a YuppTV subscription, users can watch popular channels such as Aaj Tak, Colors, Zoom, Surya, Manorama, Reporter, Jaya TV, Gemini TV channel and more.
To enjoy the service, users need to send an SMS containing ‘SUB YCD’, ‘SUB YCW’ or ‘SUB YCM’ for daily, weekly or monthly subscriptions, respectively, to 92970.
Ooredoo has launched the service in partnership with YuppTV to "cater to the growing demand for digital content across Qatar", the statement notes.
Ooredoo has said more digital entertainment services and partnerships will be announced in the future.
