The heat is on in the country as the mercury level is expected to touch 45C in Abu Samra and 43C in Doha on Thursday, the Qatar Met department’s weather report shows.
A maximum temperature of 43C is also likely in Al Khor on Thursday, followed by 42C in Wakrah and Mesaieed, 41C in Dukhan and 38C in Ruwais.
The minimum, on the other hand, will range from 30C to 35C around the country, with Abu Samra seeing the highest levels.
The detailed forecast says hot daytime conditions are expected on Thursday along with slight dust in some places at times, while offshore areas will see misty conditions.
On Wednesday, a maximum temperature of 44C was recorded in Batna and Karana, 43C in Abu Hamour, Sheehaniya, Jumayliyah, Turayna and Ghuwairiyah, 42C in the Qatar University area and Al Khor, and 41C in Doha and Abu Samra.
