Doha
Sixty start-up projects under the Bedaya Centre for Entrepreneurship and Career Development (Bedaya Centre) took part in the ‘Night Market, a first-of-its-kind initiative being held at the Al Duhail Sports Club parking lot for entire duration of Ramadan.
“The ‘Night Market’ is a unique concept set for the first time in the state of Qatar, which depends on the processing of containers to be a distinct location for selling products and goods from different categories.
“It also facilitates the work and reduces the cost to tenants, especially for small and medium-sized enterprises and start-up entrepreneurs. It also meets the needs of the local community by offering a variety of products at a special location during the holy month of Ramadan from 8pm to 2am,” Bedaya Centre said in a statement.
‘Dukan Bedaya’ is participating at the ‘Night Market’ with 60 businesses specialising in spices, tea, coffee, clothing apparels, perfumes, accessories, incense, and kids clothing, among others.
Bedaya Centre general manager Reem al-Suwaidi said, “We are participating at the first night market in town. Even though they work in different categories and lines of business, they are in tune with the Ramadan atmosphere through the nature of their goods.
“We have been able to provide the best opportunity for entrepreneurs to showcase their projects and communicate better with a large segment of society during the holy month of Ramadan. This participation represents a unique opportunity for them to display their products and promote their business and projects, especially with the night market’s special timing, which is distinctive and suitable for the whole family and other segments of society.”
