*Kuwaiti Amir's mediation efforts hailed
*Calls for resolving crisis through talks between all parties involved

Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu on Saturday said that the impact of the GCC crisis was not limited to the five countries concerned, but it affects and disturbs all the Arab and Islamic countries as well.
Addressing the Forum for Arab Journalists in Istanbul, the Turkish foreign minister discussed the position of his country on some of the current Arab issues.
Anadolu Agency (AA) said he praised the great efforts made by the Amir of Kuwait Sheikh Sabah al-Ahmad al-Jaber al-Sabah to resolve the Gulf crisis, pointing out to the great role played by Kuwait to bring peace and stability in the region.
He called for resolving crises through consultation between all parties involved, pointing out mistakes made against the backdrop of the Gulf crisis, such as applying pressure on other countries to force them to take a certain position, putting them in a difficult situation.
The Gulf Co-operation Council (GCC) crisis, which is now in its eleventh month, was triggered when Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates (UAE), Bahrain and Egypt cut diplomatic and trade ties with Qatar on June 5, 2017, accusing Doha of supporting "terrorism". Qatar rejected the allegations as "baseless".
There has been global acceptance and appreciation for Kuwait's efforts to mediate the crisis. Kuwait has maintained that the Gulf crisis has to be resolved at the earliest because not doing so would be destructive to the region.
The official Kuwaiti news agency KUNA recently quoted Deputy Foreign Minister Khaled al-Jarallah as saying: "Everybody realises the longer this division the deeper the wound will be in the Gulf body."
Istanbul is hosting 60 journalists from 18 Arab countries as part of the six-day-long Istanbul Forum for Arab Journalists.
Organised by the Istanbul Municipality for the first time, the Forum paved the way for participants to having fruitful discussions with their Turkish counterparts.
“We journalists have the task of building bridges between the Arab and Turkish shores,” one of the attendants said.
