Romanian piano artist Lorelai Mosnegutu, born without arms and some leg bones, performed live at the Shafallah Centre in Doha recently, enthralling and inspiring dozens of children with special needs.
Mosnegutu did not start speaking before the age of three, nor did she start walking before the age of four, it is learnt.
Prior to her visit to the Shafallah Centre, the musician also performed live as part of a cultural event at the second Gulf Region Education Assistive Technology conference in Doha last month.

Lorelai Mosnegutu speaks to the audience.

“I felt wonderful, and I was a little bit emotional but it was amazing,” she told Gulf Times
Mosnegutu started her career from kindergarten and won many musical competitions, apart from receiving several recognitions.
She has also written 10 books, mostly about heroism. She also continues to draw and do painting like other artists.
Mosnegutu noted that she composed a song for children with disabilities titled “Missing Parents.”
“I composed this song because in Romania some parents abandon their children with disabilities,” she pointed out. “My goal is to make people happy and to make others smile.”
The musician lauded Qatar and its people saying they are very warm and welcoming. She plans to visit Qatar again.
