Katara the Cultural Village Foundation is hosting at 4.30pm on Saturday a traditional ceremony to mark the safe return of the young fishermen who are competing in the 7th annual Senyar Festival.
The first place winning team will be honoured in the presence of the participants' parents.
The young contestants rose to the challenges, especially against the strong winds and the heavy rains that started to pour on the second day of their sea journey.

However, they have expressed happiness at taking part in the event as it constitutes an exciting sea adventure, rekindling memories of the original maritime heritage of the forefathers of the region.
The traditional fishing championship started on Thursday from the eastern sea side of Doha with 64 teams comprising 832 sailors and fishermen and it stopped opposite Lusail city. The dhows are scheduled to reach Katara Beach on Saturday from 4am until 1pm.
Medical, paramedical and civil defence teams are on hand to offer assistance to the contestants.
