Strong winds are expected in some places by this afternoon, the Qatar Met department has said. The weather office has also issued a warning for strong winds and high seas in offshore areas today. The marine warning for fresh to strong northwesterly winds will be in place until the beginning of Thursday (March 15), with the wind speed expected to range from 15-25 knots – going up to 30 knots at times. The wave height will range from 5-8ft, reaching a high of 10ft at times. The Met department has urged people to avoid marine activities in view of the likely conditions.

The detailed forecast for today says the wind speed may go up to 24 knots in some inshore areas by the afternoon and 27 knots offshore at times, with the sea level rising to 8ft.
Slight to blowing dust is expected occasionally in inshore areas along with some clouds. Clouds are likely offshore, too, followed by slightly dusty conditions.
The temperature in Doha is expected to range from 22-30C today; yesterday, it was 20-29C.
