HE the Speaker of the Advisory Council Ahmed bin Abdullah bin Zaid al-Mahmoud yesterday met a delegation of senior officials of the US Congress, currently visiting Qatar.
During the meeting, they discussed parliamentary relations between the Advisory Council and the US Congress, ways of supporting and developing them, as well as a number of issues of mutual interest.
A number of Advisory Council officials attended the meeting.

Qatar-Iraq judicial ties reviewed
The Chairman of the Supreme Judicial Council and President of the Court of Cassation, Masoud Mohamed al-Ameri, yesterday met Faik Zaidan, president of the Court of Cassation and Chairman of the Supreme Judicial Council of Iraq, and his accompanying delegation.
During the meeting, they exchanged views on the legal and judicial fields between the two countries and means of enhancing them.
The visit of the Iraqi delegation comes within the framework of co-operation and co-ordination between the judicial authorities in the two countries.

Bosnian official visits MIA
Chairman of the Council of Ministers of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Denis Zvizdic, visited yesterday along with his accompanying delegation the Museum of Islamic Art on the sidelines of his official visit to Qatar.
Zvizdic toured the museum’s various wings and got acquainted with the collection of antiquities and Islamic artefacts, which includes rare treasures of heritage such as books, manuscripts and coins made of silver, copper and bronze, as well as crafts of glass, ivory, textiles, wood and precious stones in addition to artefacts collected from three continents and dating back 14 centuries.
He listened to a detailed explanation about the museum and its stages of  establishment as well as its role in spreading science, culture and encouraging creativity in addition to communication with the cultures and arts of the world.
Zvizdic signed the museum’s golden book.
