Hamad International Airport (HIA), in co-operation with Qatar Airways, organised a tour for students from Oryx International School showcasing the airport’s award-winning facilities and services.
The group of primary school students were enlightened about the comprehensive travel experience at HIA, initiated from the departures terminal to on-flight boarding.
During the tour, HIA staff introduced a simplified version of the Smart Airport programme and the collection of art pieces displayed across the airport.
The students were escorted by cartoon characters ‘Joud & Soud’, who have been inspired by Qatari culture. Participants were also presented with information about additional airport services, including the Unaccompanied Minors Lounge that offers family friendly facilities and the playground area.
The tour included a visit to Qatar Airways’ state-of-the-art Boeing 777, presenting its exquisite features, including the Business and Economy class cabins, as well as the inflight entertainment programmes especially offered to young travellers.
The tour concluded with a special lunch and gifts offered by Qatar Duty Free.
