The Underwater Bubble Theatre enthralled a large number of families and children on Friday, featuring a colourful and “one-of-its-kind” show at Qatar National Convention Centre’s Al Mayassa Theatre.
The one-hour performance took the audience into a world of dazzling laser lights, illusions, live sand art demonstration, acrobatics and an artistic display of soap bubbles.
The performers also continuously engaged the audience with an array of dances, juggling, stunts and other acts during the show.
Bloom Entertainment presented the show, which took the audience on a journey with Mr B in the colourful underwater world of Bubblelandia.
“It was definitely worthwhile and enjoyable, and the duration of one hour was also perfect,” Zeina Abu Issa, a member of the audience, told Gulf Times after the show, which ran from 7pm to 8pm.
“It was very entertaining,” she stressed, as her children responded positively, saying they loved the entire performance. “It was nice and sweet.”
Abu Issa lauded the show for its uniqueness and creativity, from the props and costumes used by the performers to the setting and plot of the story, providing the audience with captivating and wholesome entertainment.
“I like the rainbow stretchy guy, he was cool... it was very attractive and colourful,” said one of her children, adding that he “would surely come back to watch the show if given the chance again”.
“I was really fascinated by the guy who was in the dinosaur costume, especially when he went into the box,” said another child of Abu Issa.
Belgian national Jerome echoed the statement of Abu Issa, saying he and his family enjoyed watching what he described as the “perfect performance”.
“The show was nice, I like the guy who was entering the box, I like it simply because I could not do it,” he quipped.
The show also featured acrobatic shows and several funny scenes, making it appealing to people of all ages.
The Underwater Bubble Theatre portrays Mr B’s busy and stressful life due to the advent of modern and digital technology such as the use of smartphones and other gadgets.
He finds himself transported by magic to a special and happy place where people can linger, dream, listen, watch, savour and daydream, far from his daily engagements and activities.
