His Highness the Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad al-Thani met the President of the Russian Republic of Ingushetia, Yunus-bek Yevkurov, at his Emiri Diwan office yesterday.
At the outset of the meeting, the President of Ingushetia handed the Emir a written message from Russian President Vladimir Putin, including an invitation to visit Russia.
The Emir welcomed President Yunus-bek Yevkurov of Ingushetia and his accompanying delegation, hoping that the visit would further enhance bilateral relations.
The Emir also welcomed the President Putin’s invitation to visit Russia.
For his part, President Yunus-bek Yevkurov expressed hope that this visit will enhance ties between Qatar and the Republic of Ingushetia in all fields and invited the Emir to visit Ingushetia.
During the meeting, the two sides also reviewed aspects of co-operation between the two countries and means of enhancing them in a number of fields, especially agriculture.
The Emir and the president of Ingushetia exchanged views on a number of regional and international issues of common concern and the latest developments in the region.
A number of Qatari ministers and the members of the official delegation accompanying the president of Ingushetia attended the meeting.
Following the meeting, the Emir hosted a luncheon banquet at the Emiri Diwan in honour of the president of Ingushetia and his accompanying delegation.
The banquet was attended by a number of ministers.
Meanwhile, HE the Minister of Economy and Commerce Sheikh Ahmed bin Jassim bin Mohamed al-Thani yesterday met the President of the Russian Republic of Ingushetia, Yunus-bek Yevkurov, and his accompanying delegation, who is currently visiting Qatar.
During the meeting, they reviewed the relations between Qatar and Ingushetia and discussed aspects of  co-operation, especially in the economic, trade and investment fields, as well as means of developing them.
On Tuesday, President Yunus-bek Yevkurov called on Qatari businessmen to invest in his country and benefit from opportunities in many sectors, mainly food security and tourism.
Meeting Qatari businessmen President Yunus-bek Yevkurov expressed his country’s desire to supply the Qatari market with the necessary foodstuffs, in light of co-operation between Qatar and the Russian Federation as well as in light of the current Russian trend to strengthen relations with Arab countries, especially  Qatar, which is witnessing remarkable development in all sectors.
He said relations between Qatar and Ingushetia are developing, especially after the visit of His Highness the Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad al-Thani to Russia in January 2016. He noted the interest of the Russian leadership to develop relations of co-operation with Qatar in all fields, especially economic and cultural.
