Mowasalat celebrated Qatar National Day by organising a host of activities and operating a number of additional bus services to ferry residents between various locations and the venue of the military parade.

The company said it had extended its greetings, and raised its deepest gratitude to His Highness the Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad al-Thani, His Highness the Father Emir Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa al-Thani, and His Highness the Deputy Emir Sheikh Abdullah bin Hamad al-Thani and to all Qatari people on the occasion.
According to a company statement, Mowasalat utilised all its resources to meet the public requirements across Qatar. Additional buses were operated to cover urban areas and their neighbourhoods. There was more access to the taxis throughout the day as they were deployed in every locality, based on the actual requirements, making use of the company's efficient dispatching system, it said.
The company celebrated the occasion by adorning its main office complex in Abu Hamour with a huge Qatar flag. Mowasalat Operational Unit, which includes several services and maintenance units, Mowasalat Call Center, and the Fleet management all together worked hard to increase the vehicles' readiness in order to meet the growing demand for its services on the day and also to help in reducing parking woes and congestion.
In addition, Mowasalat management and employees attended and participated in the celebrations organised by Ministry of Transport and Communications in the garden of the Museum of Islamic Arts.
Mowasalat managing director and CEO Khalid Nasser al-Hail said, “The National Day celebration is a moment of overwhelming feeling of honour and pride for Qatar, and of the country's founder who enhanced development in order to make the vision more clear towards a civilised nation that adheres to its legacy; a nation that is politically, economically, educationally, and physically well developed. A nation that leads with all its offered gestures regionally and internationally and with the best investment chances in the human and financial abilities positioning itself in the world”.
Al-Hail added, “We should honour such an occasion and make it an inspiration to enhance our national values and root them into successive generations to harvest the ancestors’ efforts, for securing a decent existence and to achieve sustained growth and development, especially for the future generations to carry the legacy of the nation through glory and honour”.
