Aspire Zone Foundation (AZF) marked this year’s Qatar National Day on Saturday by hosting special activities for all community members to enjoy, including parasailing performances by the Internal Security Force (Lekhwiya), which left Aspire Park’s skyline bright with Qatar’s maroon and white colours.

Lekhwiya also put on outstanding horses and police dogs shows, demonstrating various horse formations and how trained police dogs react to various threatening situations, such as how to stop a thief, stop a kidnapper, sniff drugs or expose bomb threats.

On the sidelines, AZF organised group activities for children, including basketball, football and tug-of-war. A large number of community members flocked to see and take part in the various activities making this year’s Qatar National Day event a huge success, AZF said in a press statement.
Meanwhile, AZF will continue its Qatar National Day celebrations by collaborating with Doha Film Institute to screen the ‘Dari Qatar’ film at 5.15pm on Sunday at Aspire Park.
After the film, DFI will choose the top five winners in the ‘short film’ competition that was launched earlier this month, where participants were asked to create films inspired by speeches by His Highness the Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad al-Thani.
