The Al-Attiyah Foundation, a non-profit organisation, recently hosted the sixth CEO roundtable meeting to deliberate on the potentialities of the hydrocarbon sector in 2018.
The event mainly explored the “Energy Outlook to the Year Ahead: What will 2018 Bring?” Well-known experts, including Alan Eyre, Director, Office of Middle East and Asia Bureau of Energy Resources, US Department of State; Robin Mills, Founder and chief executive of Qamar Energy; and Daniel Bustos, chief development officer, Accelerate Energy (USA) were the keynote speakers.
Attendees included energy industry chief executives, presidents, vice presidents, managers, field managers and foundation members.
The Al-Attiyah Foundation produces four CEO Roundtables annually tackling themes that are of importance to the energy industry, sustainable development field and beyond.
Each roundtable attracts pre-eminent thought-leaders from across the world to share their valuable insights and opinions.
In 2017, the series topics were: Innovation Technologies: Cutting Costs and Boosting Efficiency, Fossil Fuels and Renewables and The Implication of the Paris Agreement for energy and the energy industry in Qatar; including the event held on December 5.
The series will continue to take place quarterly in Doha, throughout 2018.
