QNB has announced that it
has prepared for this year’s National Day celebrations in a “unique
way”, offering loyal customers a limited-edition prepaid card under the
theme of ‘Promise of prosperity and glory’.
The card has been issued
in an effort by QNB to “express national pride and patriotism and to
stress oneness among the people of Qatar on the glorious Qatar National
Day, celebrated annually on December 18”, QNB has said in a statement.
“A piece of identity carefully crafted, QNB’s card combines art,
technology and global recognition along with a tailor-made benefits
package designed to serve the needs of its customers and meet their
aspirations,” the statement noted.
QNB has stressed that the card,
which has enhanced security through Chip & Pin technology, is also
safer than cash and enables tracking as well as spend management when
used locally or internationally.
The ‘QNB Qatar National Day Limited
Edition Prepaid Card’, which will be available to customers this month,
provides cardholders with a number of features and benefits that include
global acceptance, secure online purchase, local & international

“The card’s theme,
which quotes His Highness the Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad al-Thani, is a

Qatar’s bright future through generations,” said Heba al-Tamimi,
