Bismillah and Ahmed Khan guided Pak Shamaa School to a 46-run victory
over Pakistan International School (PIS) in the final of the Qatar
Inter-School Under-19 Cricket Tournament at the West Bay Grounds.
Bismillah claimed three wickets for only nine runs in his four overs and
Ahmed Khan provided commendable support as he grabbed four wickets to
restrict the rivals to 106 in 20 overs during their chase of a 153-run
target.
Haleem waged a lone battle to hold the PIS innings together with 41
runs. Saud and Noman scored 19 and 14 runs, respectively. Bismillah was
declared the man of the final for his outstanding performance, which
included a catch as well.
Earlier, Pak Shamaa School posted 152 runs in 25 overs as Hussain and
Ismail scored 38 and 29 runs, respectively. Ahmed and Jassim also batted
well to contribute 26 runs each. M Khan claimed three wickets. Shakeel,
Saud and Taha clinched one wicket each.
