Alurays Middle East Lighting Manufacturing is supporting the ‘Made in Qatar 2017’ exhibition as sponsor of the event’s small and medium-sized enterprises sector, the Qatar Chamber has announced in a press statement.
The expo, which will be held from December 14 to 17, is organised by the Chamber, in cooperation with the Ministry of Energy and Industry, on a 29,000 sqm area at the Doha Exhibition and Convention Centre. Over 300 Qatari companies and factories are expected to participate in the annual event, the statement said.
Qatar Chamber head of administrative and financial affairs Hussain Yousef al-Abdul Ghani and Alurays operations manager Feras Abdul Majid signed the sponsorship agreement at the chamber’s headquarters on Thursday.
Abdul Majid said the company is honoured to take part in the exhibition, which will display the company’s latest, “sophisticated electronics” developed during the siege imposed on Qatar in June this year.
“The expo is congruent with the Qatar National Vision 2030, which mainly focuses on developing local industry and the economy to fulfil the needs of the current and future generations,” he noted.
He expressed his gratitude to the Qatar Chamber for holding the exhibition, which provides a good opportunity for companies to present their products in a national exhibition that focuses on local industry.
Abdul Majid pointed out that the company had implemented many projects in Qatar and strives to expand its presence further in the Qatari market.
Al-Abdul Ghani said the Qatar Chamber extends its “deep gratitude” to the company for sponsoring the SMEs sector. “It is a vital sector of the national economy and supported by several bodies in the country, primarily the wise leadership of His Highness the Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad al-Thani and the Qatari government,” he said.
