Emir sends greetings on Bosnia’s National Day
His Highness the Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad al-Thani and His Highness the Deputy Emir Sheikh Abdullah bin Hamad al-Thani sent yesterday cables of congratulations to the Chairman of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bakir Izetbegovic, on his country’s National Day. HE the Prime Minister and Interior Minister Sheikh Abdullah bin Nasser bin Khalifa al-Thani also sent a similar cable to Prime Minister of Bosnia and Herzegovina Denis Zvizdic.

Strong condemnation for Quetta bombing
Qatar has strongly condemned the bombing in Quetta, the capital of southwestern Pakistan’s Baluchistan province, which resulted in a number of deaths and injuries. In a statement yesterday, the Foreign Ministry reiterated Qatar’s firm position rejecting violence and terrorism regardless of motives and reasons. It expressed Qatar’s condolences to the families of the victims, the government and people of Pakistan and wished the injured a speedy recovery.
