Qatar University (QU) has said its participation in the World Innovation Summit for Education (WISE) 2017, held recently at the Qatar National Convention Centre (QNCC), saw very high visitor interest in its information lounge in the Meet Qatar Zone exhibition area.
Exhibiting alongside a large number of local education institutions partnering with WISE, it was an opportunity for QU to “showcase its wealth of programmes and achievements and strengthen its growing reputation as a key partner in driving forward Qatar’s stated ambitions towards excellence in education”, QU said in a press statement.
QU representatives were on hand at the lounge to brief the large number of local and international delegates and other visitors on the organisation’s vision and mission, degree programmes, research, scholarships and academic grants, accreditation and its campus facilities and resources.
QU president Dr Hassan al-Derham said: “By participating in the World Innovation Summit for Education 2017, Qatar University demonstrates its role as the country’s largest national institution of higher education committed to advancing quality education and research excellence in Qatar and the region.”
