The Compensation Claims Committee has relocated to a new office on the first floor of the Palm Towers building in West Bay. It was previously located at the Doha Exhibition and Convention Centre.

A source in the committee told local Arabic daily Arrayah that work has started on filing cases for those affected by the unjust siege, imposed by Saudi Arabia, the UAE, Bahrain, and Egypt, in international arbitration committees.
The source said the new office is well-equipped and has an adequate number of counters and a waiting hall, in addition to other necessary facilities and equipment. It receives its visitors from 8am until 2pm.
He said since its launch some 15 weeks ago, the committee has received more than 3,000 applications for compensation claims. These include 161 cases pertaining to Qatari students who were not allowed to complete their education in the blockading countries, 1,165 cases of individuals suffering various types of losses, 796 applications pertaining to real estate, and 379 other related cases.
In addition, the committee recently received 591 new applications that would be reviewed and classified by its legal experts in order to take the necessary follow-up action.
The committee was set up in July to pursue compensation claims arising out of the country's blockade.
