Al-Ahli Hospital launched breast cancer awareness campaign to mark Breast Cancer Awareness Month (October) through a clinic for free examination for breast cancer and share brochures.

Dr Abdul Azim Abdul Wahab Hussain, chief of medical staff at Al Ahli Hospital said,“The breast cancer awareness campaign comes in response to the increasing number of cancer in the world. Early detection and prevention of breast cancer is of great importance and this campaign intends to get the message across to the community. Al Ahli Hospital is keen on building a community that believes prevention is better than cure and follow healthy lifestyles. Early detection of this disease can save lives.”

Mammogram screenings are so important, and we are thrilled to be one of the big hospitals to have three dimensional mammograms available," Dr Abdul Azim noted.

Faten Jabnouni the registered midwife at Al-Ahli Hospital, said “Our single goal of this campaign is to ensure that women check themselves regularly so that they can stop cancer early and go on to live long, healthy lives.”

She added that breast cancer can be cured if detected early.
