A new chapter has been scripted in the country's more than six-decade old postal history with Qatar Post unveiling its new branding on Sunday.

Apart from the new visual identity, the re-branding would also contribute to Qatar Post's enhanced visibility at local, regional and international levels.
A special ceremony in this connection was attended by HE the Prime Minister Sheikh Abdullah bin Nasser bin Khalifa al-Thani, many ministers, ambassadors and several senior Qatari officials.
Speaking at the launch, Qatar Post chairman and managing director Faleh al-Naemi said the 67-year-old company, which he described as one of the main pillars of Qatar's development over the years, would continue its efforts to provide innovative services, to the customers, both inside and outside the country.

Al-Naemi said Qatar Post, one of the country's pioneering companies, has launched a comprehensive programme for the development of Qatar's postal sector, incorporating the best of both digital and traditional applications to meet the growing needs and requirements of the country's people in line with the goals and objectives of the Qatar National Vision 2030.
Backed by advanced technologies, and upgrading of its facilities, Qatar Post would put in extra efforts to reinforce the communication between individuals and companies in the coming days, said al-Naemi.
While thanking HE the Prime Minister and HE the Minister of Transport and Communications Jassim Seif Ahmed al-Sulaiti for their initiatives in supporting the modernisation drive in the postal company, al-Naemi said Qatar Post would effectively use various digital platforms, including e-governance portals, to meet the growing needs and requirements of the country's residents.
The chairman also said more than 2.2 million services were provided by the postal company last year, covering more than 2,20,000 customers. Approximately 220 countries across the world are also linked with the country, through Qatar Post.

Al-Naemi added with the company opening more branches at Al Meera outlets, there has been a growth in its network.
The top Qatar Post official also disclosed that their company's efforts to turn Doha into one of the major logistical hubs between Asia and Europe, are expected to be fulfilled by the end of this year. Besides e-government services, Qatar Post is also effectively handling e-commerce and financial services in tandem with their partners in some of the major markets outside the country. He also expected a major leap in such associations in coming years.
