Qatar Media Corporation (QMC) organised a forum on the occasion of the 100 days of the unjustified Saudi-led siege on Qatar on Tuesday.
The forum, which was aired live on Qatar Television from Katara amphitheatre, was a special episode of Al Haqiqa programme in its Arabic version.
Participants during the forum tackled issues such as the "tight-grip diplomacy" which Qatar has been following, and which has been proved productive in dealing with the crisis. Topics regarding the economic gains and the development prospects that the country has so far achieved were also debated.
The participants also discussed and hailed the societal cohesion which the citizens and the residents managed to maintain in Qatar.
The repercussions of the Gulf crisis regionally and internationally were also discussed.
Tuesday’s Al Haqiqa episode was dubbed “100 days of the blockade on Qatar,” and saw the participation of prominent Qatari and non-Qatari journalists, economists, sociologists and researchers.
QMC started Al Haqiqa programme on the first day of the siege of Qatar and is broadcasted live from Sunday to Thursday on Qatar TV at 10pm.
Saudi Arabia, the UAE, Bahrain and Egypt severed diplomatic and communication links with Qatar on June 5, accusing it of supporting militant groups. Qatar has denied all the allegations and the accusing nations have not been able to present any evidence either.
