Less than a month after his winning return at Ostende, Djelamer imposed himself again, at Duindigt, Netherlands, in the President of the UAE Cup. The Khalifa bin Hamad al-Attiyah-owned horse, trained by Alban de Mieulle, was ridden at the back of the field by Jean Baptiste Hamel.
He came closer in the opposite straight and then edged Al Shaqab Racing’s Metrag for the win. Trained by Thomas Fourcy, the runner-up was ridden by Qatari jockey, Faleh Bughenaim. Metrag stayed on a success in a Listed in Rome.
Djelamer, who did not race in Doha last season due to health issues, seems to be coming back even stronger at five-years-old, and he should illustrate himself at the best level.
