Qatar Stock Exchange (QSE) index dropped 11.74 points (0.13%) when the bourse closed trading at 9,053.60 points on Wednesday.
The volume of shares traded increased to 8,080,311 from 6,730,191 on Tuesday and the value of shares increased to QR186,404,183.40 from QR127,751,460.92 on Tuesday.
Shares of 38 companies were traded on Wednesday. Of these, 14 gained while 24 closed lower.
Indices of three sectors ended in green while four sectors were in red. QSE Total Return Index lost 0.13% to 15,182.36 points. QSE Al Rayan Islamic Index declined 0.30% to 3.603.31 points and QSE All Share Index fell 0.17% to 2,656.48 points. 
Most banking shares declined, with Commercial Bank falling 1.6% to QR29.90, Reuters adds.
