Qatar’s social, political and economic stability has been affirmed through the unjust siege imposed by the Saudi-led group. This came in a statement issued by the State of Qatar during the first meeting of the working group of Asian Co-operation Dialogue (ACD) in Bangkok on promoting sustainable approach and development in which Qatar ambassador to Thailand Sheikh Jassim bin Abdulrahman al-Thani participated.
The statement said that the expression of solidarity, by citizens and residents, and the resulting cohesion had the greatest impact on the social fabric of the nation. The strength of the Qatari economy also played a key role in maintaining financial and economic stability, thanks to its ample financial reserves.
The statement reviewed the main pillars of Qatar’s experience in sustainable development and its future economic prospects.  It also dwelt on opening the way for citizens and national institutions to contribute to the development as well as through foreign investment.
The statement noted the speech of His Highness the Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad al-Thani on July 12 in which he said to the people of Qatar: “We require diligence, creativity, independent thinking, constructive initiatives and interest in academic achievement in all disciplines.”
The document also referred to Qatar Vision 2030 and its adoption of the principle of strategic planning in the economic, social and environmental progress. On the sidelines of the meeting, ambassador al-Thani met with ACD’s Secretary-General Bundit Limschoon who expressed the importance of dialogue in solving conflicts between states.
