Souq Waqif and Souq Al Wakrah will organise Eid al-Adha Festival for five days starting from the first day of Eid al-Adha which falls on the first Friday of September.
The activities will be held from 4pm to 10pm and will include a range of exciting events for the entire family.
Speaking to Qatar News Agency (QNA), Director of Souq Waqif Mohamed al-Salem stressed the keenness on celebrating this occasion and bringing joy, especially as Souq Waqif is considered one of the most popular tourist destinations for families and visitors who want to enjoy Eid in Doha.
A large air-conditioned tent will be set up in the western square of the souq due to the hot weather.
The tent will include a lot of toys for children with a nominal fee in addition to a variety of games and gifts to attract more kids and families, he added.
Al-Salem noted that the festival will also include a number of cultural and artistic events, such as fine arts and traditional artistic performances.
For his part, Director of Souq Al Wakrah Khalid Saif al-Suwaidi said that Souq Al Wakrah will organise Eid al-Adha festival this year in an innovative atmosphere, especially with the opening of Al Wakrah Beach for families.
He noted that the events will be presented in a large tent which includes a variety of creative ideas and games that stimulate individual skills.
Al-Suwaidi underlined that the management of Souq Al Wakrah has taken all necessary steps to ensure that people have a good time.
