An official source at the Authority said it received a request from Saudi Airlines asking to transport Qatari pilgrims, adding that the Authority had replied that the airline should co-ordinate with and contact Qatar's Ministry of Awqaf and Islamic Affairs and the country's Haj mission in accordance with what is established in the past in order for the Authority to take the necessary action in this regard.

The Civil Aviation Authority has described as baseless the news circulating in media outlets of the siege countries that Qatar refused to allow Saudi Airlines to transport Qatari Haj pilgrims.
