AFG College with the University of Aberdeen has awarded a three-year contract to SNC-Lavalin Profac Gulf Management, a joint venture comprising SNC-Lavalin and Nasser Bin Khaled Al-Thani & Sons Holding Company (NBK), to provide end-to-end facilities management services at its new college in Qatar.

AFG College with the University of Aberdeen is a newly established university college partnership that will welcome its first cohort of undergraduate students for bachelor degrees in business management and accountancy and finance in September.

Headquartered in Canada, SNC-Lavalin is a global fully integrated professional services and project management company with $8.5bn revenues recorded in 2016. SNC-Lavalin is recognised by the industry as a leading facilities management provider with experience on numerous properties within the Middle East.

The contract signing ceremony was attended by Sheikh Khalid Nawaf al-Thani, representing NBK and SNC-Lavalin, and Prof Richard Wells, dean of transnational education representing AFG College.

Senior delegates from the University of Aberdeen were also in attendance, including the dean of Middle East and Southeast Asian affairs and the deputy director of estates.
