As Qatar’s longest ever summer festival continues to roll on with colourful and attractive hospitality, retail and entertainment offers, Qatar Tourism Authority (QTA) led a roadshow to promote the country as a tourism destination in Kuwait and Oman.

Joined by partners from the private sector, senior QTA officials presented tour operators with the latest updates on what the festival has to offer.
The delegates also gathered insights that would help improve and tailor Qatar’s tourism offering for visitors from the two neighbouring countries.
“Engaging with travel trade helps increase the number of tour operators that sell holiday packages to the country, raising visitor interest in Qatar,” QTA’s public relations and communications director Saif al-Kuwari said in a statement.
“Our visits to Oman and Kuwait come as part of QTA’s wider strategic push to diversify Qatar’s tourist source markets,” he added.

The regional roadshow’s first stop was in Kuwait, which has made the largest contribution to growth in GCC visitor arrivals to Qatar so far this year.
To build on this, representatives from Qatar’s hospitality sector met with more than 25 representatives of Kuwait’s biggest tour operators.
The roadshow then headed to Oman, coinciding with the last day of a three-day visit in which QTA led a senior delegation to meet with its counterparts.
The meeting activated an agreement aimed at boosting tourism relations between the two nations.
Held under the theme “Colour Your Summer”, the festival is a nationwide festival that celebrates the country’s family entertainment, retail and hospitality offerings.
In its fourth edition, this year’s event stretches beyond the usual month-long period to run from Eid al-Fitr to Eid al-Adha.
