The Public Works Authority (Ashghal) has unveiled a 'Tamim Al Majd'-themed mural at its headquarters to express loyalty to Qatar and His Highness the Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad al-Thani.
The board has been placed at the entrance of the Ashghal HQ in West Bay.
Ashghal launched the mural in the presence of its president Dr Saad bin Ahmed al-Mohannadi, assistant president Abdullah Hamad al-Attiyah, directors, managers and a number of employees. Everyone present was keen to write messages of support for HH the Emir on the board.
The launch by Ashghal is part of an initiative by several government and non-government entities in Qatar to set up billboards and murals across Qatar with the 'Tamim Al Majd' portrait, highlighting the cohesion among the Qatari people and their loyalty to the homeland and HH the Emir, the authority said in a press statement.
Dr al-Mohannadi expressed pride in setting up the mural, which highlights the pledge of allegiance by the staff and their persistent efforts towards achieving the authority's goals and projects that serve the nation.
On his part, al-Attiyah stressed that the 'Tamim Al Majd' mural reflects cohesion and solidarity among the Qatari people to come together and move forward under one command.
Mohamed Ali Darwish, technical support director, said: "We are proud to share the presence of the mural board in Ashghal to express our appreciation for and pride in our beloved country, Qatar, and to continue our efforts to build a strong State.”
Mishal Sultan al-Hitimi, director of Shared Services, said the inauguration of Ashghal's 'Tamim Al Majd' mural "is the least we can do for our homeland".
Director of Building Affairs Lahdan Sager al-Mohannadi expressed support for the people of the country in view of the recent developments, while director of Assets Affairs Ahmed Mohamed Sharif said: “Each and every employee in the authority is committed to build the country by providing the best.”
Director of Infrastructure Affairs Mohamed Masoud al-Marri said the idea behind the mural initiative is to bring together the directors and employees of all departments for this noble cause.
