Qatari Emiri Naval Forces and French Naval Forces held military training exercises in Qatar's northern territorial waters.
A statement released by the Directorate of Moral Guidance of the Ministry of Defence said that the exercises included training on sailing in shallow waters and refuelling at sea.
The aim of the exercises is to develop and standardise applied marine concepts, as well as train Qatari and French crews on various air support methods and the simulation of artillery rocket launch from warships.
The training is within the framework of co-operation agreements between Qatari Emiri Naval Forces and its French counterpart.
