Hamad Medical Corporation (HMC) confirmed that the health services offered by all its hospitals in Qatar are functioning normally, as there is no shortage of medical supplies or medicines because of the blockade imposed on Qatar by a number of GCC countries.
In a statement to Qatar News Agency (QNA), Executive Director of the Corporate Communications Department at Hamad Medical Corporation, Ali Abdullah al-Khater, said Hamad Medical Corporation has a supply of medicines and other important medical supplies for many months.
If some of the supply routes are stopped, HMC will definitely find new suppliers of medicines and medical supplies, al-Khater stressed, adding that there is no risk on public health because there is no shortage of medicines or medical supplies in Qatar.
He explained that all HMC hospitals continue to provide the necessary healthcare to all patients, regardless of their nationalities or countries of origin.
With regard to the provision of medical care to residents of the GCC countries that imposed the siege on Qatar or other countries, al-Khater pointed out that HMC continues to provide medical care for all patients and reviewers regardless of their nationality.
